We assembled the engine and took the trans to a shop for a professional rebuild. I have done a few auto trans in my past but I had supervision. This time I wanted to make sure this was right the first time. We mated the two together and with the help of a friend we lowered in between the inner fenders. I had the folks at Snail Motorsports do the powder coat on the exhaust manifolds and accessory brackets We rebuilt the power steering pump, mounted a new alternator, and installed the Vintage Air recommended Sanden compressor for the AC. We painted the engine the original Buick Green and highlighted the valve covers with some basic aluminum paint. We wanted to keep the car clean and basic.
How long have we been working on it??
